The full story

Bucaille was a French surgeon whose medical work brought him into contact with the Arab world. He began studying the Qur’an’s statements on the natural world — embryology, the water cycle, the cosmos — and concluded that several were strikingly consistent with modern science and unlikely for a seventh-century author. His book became one of the most widely read works on the Qur’an and science, and he accepted Islam privately in 1973.
